Leaving A Legend

Since the world is ending in 2012, I have decided to buy everything at places with a "Don't pay til 2013 plan".

Who's with me?

So what do you think of this so called controversy of the world ending in 2012? Didn't we say that the world would end in 2000? 2006? And now 2012? I'm not sure if being scared or gullible is the right thing to be in this matter.

Even if the world is ending in 2012, what are you doing about your life to make it better? What have you done for yourself lately? Have you given up? Are you falling apart because of drugs? Have you made yourself a millionaire? Had a baby? Tried something new? Crazy?

Next time you are out at the grocery store or at a restaurant, try doing something nice for somebody else; help hold open a door for an ederly or say please and thank you when dealing with service workers. If you give nothing, you get nothing.

What have you done to make change in our world today?

I leave you with this:

"Are you actually living in this world, or are you just an existance?"- quote by me.

Mens Pompadour Hairstyle, A Rockabilly Fav

The most popular rockabilly haircut is the mens pompadour hairstyle. When you think of this type of haircut you may envision Elvis Presley or Frank Sinatra.

In fact, both of these legendary figures were known for supporting this look and for wearing it at different lengths.

The mens Pompadour hairstyle first became popular in the 1950's. It's name came from the lady who invented the style, Madame de Pompadour. It was

first a look that you only saw on men. But as the years passed, women began to wear this look as well.

The essential style of the Pompadour is to brush the hair straight back and up. The hair remains this way by using a lot of grease. This is why the men who choose to wear this look are sometimes called Greasers, even today.

When wearing this style, the sides are cut really short and close. The top is left long enough to comb back in a sweeping like manner. This is one reason why the Pompadour haircut was so popular. One could wear it at any top length he choose. The hair can be parted or not. This is the sole discretion of the wearer.

One method is the blow dry method.

One just takes a shower and washes the hair as he would normally.

Then he wrings the hair out with a towel.
Now the fun part begins.
Place a bit of hair styling gel or grease in your hands and begin forming the pompadour.
You will want to try to get some height into it.
Now using your blow dryer, bend your head downward as you dry.

This will help keep the height you just created.
Once you get the height you like, place some firm holding gel over the pompadour.
Then finish with a finishing spray.
You may want to mess up the front a bit to create a tousle type look.

This second method is probably the preferred one.

Just wash your hair as your normally would.
Then place a lot of pomade and place it into your hair.
Now create the pompadour with your hands.
To do this you will want to comb your hair back and up. If you wish, part your hair.
Parting your hair can be a challenge the first few times.
To do this, push the hair slightly forward in the front. This will help give the hair a lift.
Comb back the rest of the hair, giving it a blended look.
Remember to always comb your hair upwards.
Comb the sides back.
Mess up the front a bit to give it a tousle look
And viola you just look like you stepped out of the 1950's.

As for getting that nasty grease out of your hair, many men have found out that good ole' dish detergent works fine; but if you wish to try something a little more sophisticated, look for some Dax Vegetable Shampoo- it works wonders.

If you have decided that you would like to try this fun loving rockabilly look of a mens Pompadour hairstyle, have no fear whatsoever of where to go for the cut and the styling process. There are so many barbers and stylist throughout the world that still cater to this look, it it so in right now. Enjoy, Men's Pompadour Hairstyles

Total inspiration for my next hair cut. <3

The Not-So-Good Transformation

I never understood how some say "silence is golden",
All it ever did for me was make me nervous.

You see the mind is delicate place to wander,
If not careful one could lose all sanity and emotion.

After so many tribulations over times of duty
You turn into bewildered debris and lose the ability to cry.

There seems to be an absence of tears
almost as if the whole body has shut down from all the other life contact

And becomes mechanical!

Tell Me Why?

Can you tell me why the stars in the sky have to be so high?
Or why people can die from just a simple drive by shooting up the block?
Thinking to myself that the time and days seem to go so fast
Checking the calendar and time as I glance at my clock.

Can you tell me why it is when people are hurt in and out they cry?
Or why the truth seems so hard to tell?
Seems like it doesn't exist because all the world lives to lie.
Just take a second and ponder to yourself about the way your life has panned out.
That lovers and friends come and go without a second thought. No doubt.

Can you tell me why the funny science guy on television has to be named Bill Nye?
Or why your emotions run so deep in your heart tears fall from the corner of you eye?
Is life only a science project waiting for results after many trials and errors?
If so I think we'll be here forever and a day, as for the bad news at least I'm not the barer.

Can you tell me why certain things come about that causes one to sigh?
Or why during a meet and greet, comes "hello," there shortly after a "goodbye"?
Nobody goes person to person telling them how to live their life;
some are introverts while others are not.
Whether you wear your feelings on your sleeve that's for you to decide.

Can you tell me why in this thing called live, we're born, we live, then die?
Or why Dorothy once said "lions and tigers and bears, oh my!"
We all have the choice to make our lives better for our own good.
Starting with a picnic at the park in very own neighborhood.

I'll bring the sandwiches and you bring the pie!

Lesson #1

Just remember in this complicated mess that you were the one

So long after being together you said that we were done

It takes two to tango and one apple to spoil the basket

Roaming charges to my heart with all these questions that I'm asking

Always keeping promises that you know you couldn't keep

Usually calling your phone leaving a message after the beep

Damn Life!

Damn!

Life why you gotta be so tough?

Man!

He's got it easy while I have it rough.

Oh snap!

Always have an option to continue or abort.

Crap!

When it comes to me, usually a nickel short.

Damn!

Life why you gotta be so real?

Man!

Time to grow up kid, no more Happy Meal!

Oh snap!

Years go on, wrinkles form when you're old.

Crap!

Just trying to live life in search for one to hold!
